From San Francisco Airport

Public Transportation

Easiest transportation from SFO is via the Marin Airporter, which leaves every half hour from outside the baggage claim area at SFO. Cost is approximately $20 one way. The trip takes less than one hour to go to their main Larkspur Landing terminal, which is one and a half blocks from the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. The distance is easily walkable, although taxis are available.

Buses depart every 30 minutes, on the hour and half-hour from both the SF airport and the Larkspur Landing Terminal, which is next to the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. The first bus leaves at 4:00 AM, last bus leaves at 11:00 PM. Minimum travel time: < 1 hour. Buses pick up just outside baggage claim area at SFO and deliver you virtually to the hotel.

Driving Directions from the San Francisco Airport

  1. Go north on Highway 101
  2. Take Highway 380 west
  3. Take Highway 280 north
  4. Take Highway 1 exit north through San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge
    • For the CTA Training Center (map marker A):
      1. Take exit 450B toward San Anselmo
      2. Merge onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd
      3. Turn left at Bon Air Rd
    • For the Courtyard Marriott (map marker B)
      1. Go approximately seven miles north past Corte Madera and take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd exit east towards the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge towards San Quentin.
      2. The Courtyard Marriott Hotel is on the north side of the Larkspur Landing Shopping Center, which is immediately on the left side across from the Ferry Terminal as you exit east on Sir Francis Drake Blvd.
    • For the Best Western (map marker C)
      1. Take exit 450B toward San Anselmo
      2. Merge onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd
      3. Make a U-turn at Eliseo Dr
      4. Merge onto US-101 S via the ramp to San Francisco
      5. Exit onto Madera Blvd

From Oakland Airport

Southwest Airlines http://www.southwest.com only flies into the Oakland airport but has the cheapest and most frequent flight schedules.

Public Transportation

While actually closer than the SF airport, there is no direct bus service available to Larkspur. Taxi cabs (approx $50-60 one-way) or prearranged limousine service (approx. $100) are options. Car rentals are available at the airport. Travel time is 30 to 60 minutes depending on East Bay traffic.

Car rentals

Having a car is not absolutely necessary as transportation can be arranged to and from the hotels. Car rentals are available from local hotels with Enterprise Car Rental, which has a local office and which will pick up and deliver customers to their rental office. Rates are generally the same or less than from the airport.

Driving Directions

  1. Head northeast on Air Cargo Way toward Ron Cowan Pkwy
  2. Turn right at Ron Cowan Pkwy
  3. Turn left at Airport Dr
  4. Take the ramp to I-880/Downtown Oakland
  5. Merge onto Airport Dr
  6. Continue onto 98th Ave
  7. Merge onto I-880 N via the ramp to Downtown/Oakland
  8. Merge onto I-580 W (Partial toll road)
  9. Exit onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd
    • For the CTA Training Center (map marker A): Turn left at Bon Air Road
    • For the Courtyard Marriott (map marker B): Turn right at Larkspur Landing Circle
    • For the Best Western (map marker C): Merge onto US-101 S via the ramp on the left to San Francisco and Exit onto Madera Blvd
